As disappointing as it will be for Ollie, he will have learnt a lot from attending the England camps and he will have really tried to get the most out of it. Every setback is an opportunity to develop and improve.

No only if he starts as he has already been a sub in a friendly. We would however also get more dosh if he plays or comes on in a competitive game, but will have to wait for that...

Wasn't it per appearance. I'm pretty sure the clauses were not treated as milestones.

IIRC Brentford get £1m for a start and £500k if named as a sub in competitive games and it is half that for friendlies.

IIRC the add-ons were 15% of £1M for start in a competitive game, £0.5 for a competitive sub, £0.5 for a friendly start, £0.25 for a friendly sub (which we already have gained). Also £1M for Villa staying up, which has presumably already netted us £150K. The critical issue for the playing budget is when that money is received, if we get it now it can't be used to boost next season's spend on wages.
