I think law was on a 2 year contract but pym is on a free in the summer plus several others,Do the club not plan on keeping pym ?

Let’s hope law hasn’t got a get out clause.

Great 3pts, shocking ref, County were national league standard & we didn’t play well, I thought Donovan was shocking and lazy, yes he got the cross over but doesn’t deserve to wear the shirt.

Great support, think they said 665
We wanted to keep him but apparently he's turned our offers down. No idea where he's going, but it now seems inevitable that he's going. Like Sercs and JMT he's given the club fantastic service over four or five years and if like them he can more than double his money, best of luck to the lad.

Three years. Confirmed by the man himself at the EDG's meeting last week - thank the Lord :)
Apparently there were a lot of raised eye brows in the Board room when Tis gave the first three year deal the club had given when he signed Deano. The club was stable financially so they backed his judgement. Since then we have dished out a few. Giving family men who are getting towards the end of their careers the security of a three year contract means we can get players for less money then they can get elsewhere. Deano was offered a lot more by several clubs but they would only give him a one year deal. It's the old bird in the hand being worth a lot more than the two in the bush.

Nicky Law has now scored 6 goals in the last 7 matches he has started.Unbelievably he is still, just, 30 so hopefully he could play for City for another 4 or 5 years.

Personally I had no problem with either of the yellow card decisions against Bowman. It's just that the majority of League Two refs wouldn't give cards there, they are generally so soft, so it was just our luck that on the one day we get a ref who gives cards out it's us that suffers. Normally we get booted all over the place and nobody gets one.

There's actually a brilliant photo of the ref coming up to our players celebrating to urge them back to the half way line with what appears to be Jake Taylor ribbing the ref that he couldn't stop us winning after all! It's just the look on his face and the other players laughing at Taylor as he does it.

Oh and Christy Pym made two or three crucial saves in this game. The central defenders and him were my MoMs today.

It was the lack of consistency. If our three yellow cards were justified then there should have been a few more Notts County players in the book. I didn't see the first properly but the second barely looked like a foul; it was a 50/50 ball that Ryan had every right to go for and the Notts player made the most of it. However, by going in off his feet he gave the ref the opportunity to book him, even if it was undeserved. As for Deano's booking that didn't even look like a foul.

There's been lots of deserved praise for the players but Matt Taylor deserves a lot of credit as well. After 70 minutes with 10 men most of the City team looked out on their feet and we still had one substitution available. However, even with players of the quality of Archie and Lee Martin on the bench, the manager decided to stick with the players and the system that was already working well!

There's a malicious rumour on social media that Craig Woodman joined in the goal celebrations. :)

It does not look too good for the Football Leagues oldest club & it looks like that accolade will not be relevant next season.
Sad state of affairs indeed, proud signage around the place about being the oldest Football League club.
