On the separate issue of the recent Caldwell Out banner, the little I’ve been able to glean about the club’s response to that incident is that it was, in their view, a health and safety issue as the material hadn’t been pre-checked and determined safe prior to the match.
I’m not being flippant about public safety but presumably they confiscated it on the night as it wouldn’t have been any less flammable on the ground by Ash’s feet or in his pocket.
