I think we should absolutely judge him before he plays a game for us.

'King hell why don't you just start a Matt Taylor Out thread now before a ball is even kicked I'm sure you'll get others to join the call.

What absolute bollox is being quoted on this site of late and the season hasn't even started I do hope for exeweb's sake that we have a good start to the season or the quality of poster will be going downhill real fast.
What are you talking about? It’s a football forum, people are allowed OPINIONS. We all pay money at the gate.( when we can) just because some City fans don’t agree with anything critical allowed to be said and dress things up all nice that’s not everyone or any club for that matter, and your neither right or wrong either.

Coming towards the end of his career but he has played at a higher level pretty much throughout. Can play LB or CB.

My guess is he'll be okay, it's a pretty safe signing, he'll play about 25 games this season then leave in the summer to be closer to his family back up North.

On the one hand MT is clear he is mainly there for influence and a route into coaching and to act as back up.

On the other we have only signed one player we would not have been able to get in previous seasons in Nombe. The rest are fine, very similar to what we have signed in previous years so as it's stands we are no further forward really. Can understand the building frustration.

Those other signings would be put into a different light if we managed to get 2 more in of real quality, whether it happens...

No mention of any further signings in Matt’s interview. Fairly concerning. Would post in the transfer rumours thread but that seems to now be locked. Must mean all our business is done… ;)

Have Swindon got any strong top half League 2 players we could perhaps sign? Just a thought.

Not according to a mate who is a dyed in wool Swindon supporter and spent the whole of last season bemoaning how utterly inept their defence was. Having said that would not mind seeing Brett Pitman in a City shirt.

Yes we are all entitled to our opinions some have positive ones and are prepared to give situations a chance and others bemoan everything without evidence, you choose which category you feel you are in. This transfer window has been disappointing and there will be reasons for it bearing in mind Matt's early comments, but having money doesn't always guarantee the end result. But for people to jump ahead saying Matt will keep his job whatever before a ball has been kicked is to me bizarre particularly after the positive reports from pre season
