This from Cheltenham forum..let's hope AndrewP's source is the more accurate.

"M5 closed at junc 22-23 following incident hoping to open at 1pm. A38 massive delays over 2 hours"

If not cleared until 14.45 will Cheltenham get there ok? Could be tricky!

I've often wondered why there isn't exit junctions on the motorways every few miles or so.

Highways Agency now saying, on their website, M5 is not going to reopen until 1630/1645!

Does anybody know if Cheltenham's Team Bus in caught up in this incident?

Even if they aren't there will surely be lots of their fans there.

A factor, but not the most important one, Highways Agency/England have strict criteria reference Motorway junctions one of which is traffic 'lead up to' and 'post' any junction. Traffic leaving and joining Motorways at junctions are statistically high risk of an accident.
Also, the amount of land needed to create a new junction would be prohibitive, let alone working out where this traffic goes one it's left the motorway.

But back to today and let's just concentrate of getting al 3 points and pushing back up the league. Other teams at the top having games their games postponed due to 'International cal-ups' should allow us to push on.

Have you got through it yet? That area used to be my delivery route so I could send you on a magical mystery tour that would get you around it.

Sounds intriguing. Incident and not accident then?
