He had a good record at Shrewsbury as well iirc.
I think he was playing in the Swedish 1st Division when the Grecians signed him ?

Yes you’re right Trelleborg...remember him being referred to as former Oxford striker a lot at the time

Just before we jettisoned striped shirts. Apart from the 'keeper, this was our 1964 promotion-winning defence, including a youthful Cec Smyth.

I recognize Cec, Les McD, Arnie, Keith Harvey and Des Anderson, but not the keeper, Greyhound.

Cold and damp day if I remember correctly. They ran out of chips in the away end well before kick off as they were expecting 50 rather than the 500ish that travelled.

There was a chip shop a couple hundred meters down the road from the ground...we went in there before the game😀...seem to remember I stood along the side.
