There was an interesting bit about Chelsea's transfer strategy - or, more to the point, apparent lack off – in Saturday's Times. Can't remember who it was by but he was clearly well acquainted with the Chelsea squad and made a reasonably compelling case that the 'fire sale' which is taking place ATM had, for the time being at least, left them exposed in central midfield. Mindful that Ampadu can play in CM, and he's in line to go on Chelseas' tour of the USA, I'm not convinced Chelsea would be in a rush to sell him for significantly less than he's worth.It should be a good move for him notwithstanding what happened with Matt Grimes previously although MG hasn’t looked back after returning to Swansea but can’t see Leeds paying more than £8M to £10M unless other bids come in.
