Two crucial evenings for Somerset, tonight in Bristol and tomorrow in Taunton. Win them both and the treble is still on !

Glos win by 25 runs. The cidermen went down swinging the willow, but an Englandesque collapse was their undoing. Chasing 189, they were well placed at 90-1 after 9.3 overs, but then lost 5 wickets in the next 24 balls, for just 21 runs, leaving the lower order with a Herculean task. Need to bounce back against Glam tomorrow evening.

Yes very important to win tomorrow against the woeful Welsh. The defeat tonight was a particular blow as Glos could be the team that edges the Cidermen out of a QF slot.

This has the whiff of a scandal. The timing is somewhat puzzling given the success on the field at present, 50 overs Champions, handily placed for the County Championship, and still in with a shout for the 20/20 title. A potential treble winning season and you sack the Chief Exec with a month to go ? Surely something murky going on beneath the surface ? Have you heard any rumours Mr Hound ?

Maybe they are just lousy at appointing their administrative staff, Wolfie also springs horribly to mind ?
