Didn't stop the government recommending we all work from home again. But we're (mostly) all vaccinated now - either partly or fully. That's the huge difference.

Then the vaccine will be changed.A future variant may get past the vaccine protection.
How quickly though ?Then the vaccine will be changed.
That's what i thought today but when Omicron came along they were saying the vaccines were less effective to it, Why didn't they tweak them then? Then the vaccine will be changed.
The vaccine is still relatively new, so it takes time to alter it for another variant. At the time it was a question of whether it was worth it, given Omicron was expected to come and go pretty quickly. That's what i thought today but when Omicron came along they were saying the vaccines were less effective to it, Why didn't they tweak them then?
Cheers, Its all very confusing. The vaccine is still relatively new, so it takes time to alter it for another variant. At the time it was a question of whether it was worth it, given Omicron was expected to come and go pretty quickly.
Re. future vaccines, it will depend on the virus' behaviour whether it's worth creating vaccines to target future variants. However, a booster of the general vaccine will do the job, as having lots of less than ideal antibodies is pretty much the same as having a small amount of highly specialised ones. Plus it will then be useful for further variants, instead of becoming redundant once its targeted variant has stopped circulating.
He's insisting on masks though which is a bit odd.And so I made it back into the office today.
The trains were only running once every 30 mins (usually every 5 mins), so guess what - yes it was absolutely packed!
Well done Sadiq Khan! Idiot.
