Why is there "no reason" for Fluminense to do this? Essentially it's their biggie, we just happen to be the oppo as we were the last time.

Fantastic news for the club imho. If marketed properly we could make a few bob out of this. Wonder if any tv companies will be interested in covering the fixture?
As everyone knows, I have been fairly critical about things for quite a while and many reservations and concerns remain. That will not change as a result of this announcement.

However, personally, I have no intention to be negative about this particular event as I think it is important and has many positive elements. It will create 12 months of interest in our club - not just in Exeter but probably nationwide and possibly abroad and in Brazil itself. The players may well be energised by the prospect of the trip next year and perform better than they might otherwise have done this coming season (well, one can hope!!). I am also fairly certain it will attract TV and media attention.

If it increases interest and support for the club (and sponsorship etc.) then it will be well worth it.

The crowd will be limited to just over 3,500 according to the Q&A just posted:

Hanging up the boots.
Still don't see where the money is coming from and how we'll make anything out of it.

Ok I'll do along for the ride, why is it their "biggie"? You really are going to have to explain that...
