Haven't the lucky participants only parted with 500 notes so far?

Whilst i sincerely hope this goes ahead, it's a PR shambles and, more to the point, it's the fans who will suffer, yet again, if it doesn't happen.

If the game gets cancelled then there is no comeback for those who have parted with £2k. However, if the game doesn't take place because it was never agreed in the first place, the club could be in legal hot water.

Surely, something will be cobbled together....A Rio select team or some such... However, it looks increasingly unlikely that the aim of the trip will be properly realised....

5 or 6 months ago when they made the grand announcement we were told it was being made unilaterally because Brazil was too busy with the Pope visiting. Five or Six months and the claim that the game was definitely on is still appearing to be factually incorrect. Yet these people continue to pick up a wage from the Club. Regardless of whether it takes place (and even though I think it is waste of time I hope it does for the 113 plus) questions need to be asked by the Trust over just what the hell is going on. Don't think many other than the 113 will care though - most seem understandably sick of the whole thing.
Nothing directly to do with the Trust, surely, though I assume the TB was in the loop? Arranged by the Club. Questions on a postcard to Tagg and Henderson.

If I was one of those that have booked, I'd be contacting flum directly to get confirmation that the game wasn't confirmed, and if the club don't have proof of the game being confirmed, their disclaimer, won't make an ounce of difference, as they would have sold the package under false pretences.

Sorry John what I meant was that the Trust needs to be asking the Club (and specifically Tagg and Henderson) what is going on. It is, in my opinion, appalling if the Club have indeed claimed a match has been arranged (and encouraged people to pay deposits) if no such agreement is in place. Such a mess.

Genuine question--Is this trip still on?
Will ask again? Yes/No?

The only answer anyone can give, Sf, is that according to the Club it is.

A write-up in globoesporte which, interestingly, seems to have originated in Exeter HERE.
