Barnsley vs Exeter match day thread

That was probably the most enjoyable match since we went into freefall.The toughness we showed is what we should be seeing in every match with a manager that used to a Celtic centre back.It will save our L1 status.

Great result and huge 3 points. 1st half looked like a different team and again played long and played direct. No ******* about with it at the back. 2nd half was dog shit and we can’t help but invite pressure and turn games into David va Goliath.

hopefully we’ll start to build some confidence leading again and seeing a game out without stress and riding our luck.

As we saw in the home game the quality of players that Barnsley were able to bring off the bench was frankly ridiculous so it's not surprising they came back into the game but some heroic defending saw us home.

That was a superb performance

Aitchison looks completely transformed in the last few games, he had his best game in a City shirt today. Ran and ran.

Defended bravely at the end when it looked like Barnsley might sneak back into it.

We could have been four up in the first half such was the quality of our chance creation.

All this without any new additions up top, we still very much need that but if we do perhaps mid table safety can be ours…

Well done city,stood in the rain at Bristol rovers and watched us grind out a win,now in sunny lanzarote,and followed on sky sports soccer Saturday,Alan mcinally was very complimentary about us,so a very good win on the road,so we’ll done city ,excellent result

What did you expect Barnsley on a great run unbeaten for a number of games and have just won 3 on the trot was never going to be easy
