One of the South Western Gas Board Basin Works, Haven Rd in 1971...I saved this large photo from the skip !

Welcome House and cottages are some of the only things still standing
The Welcome Inn was supplied with free gas until Nationalisation(1949) The cottages were originally built for senior employees of the Exeter Gas Light & Coke Company.
