Looks like we will be spending more on extending Directors room / additional seats in IP / posh pasties than on team ! How does this effect Trust voting rights ?
They are all non-executive I believe.

Self promotion seems to be the main thing these individuals bring to the table. Can’t see “multi millionaire “ mentioned anywhere…….. how do we get mixed up with this coaching and business development and performance carp. The business model is find young players sell them on for profit. There is no potential profit growth anywhere else if your core product isn’t successful.

I would like to think that each of these new appointments (which seem to have suddenly spung out of nowhere) will bring something worthwhile to the table, but there seems to be a lack of clarity in respect of what actual role each will perform. I had always understood, from previous missives and dictates, that each director is supposed to have a specific brief and responsibility and that has certainly been true of the Trust appointed directors for a number of years. I get the 'Chief Commercial Officer', that, for me, is a crucial role and, hopefully, will drive all aspects of finance generation from the commercial side of the club. That is patently different to and separate from the board appointments. We have needed to step in that area for some time and attempt to match what the Chiefs achieve.

Nowhere have I seen that any of the existing directors are stepping down - and apologies if I have missed it - but it does feel like the club board is suddenly growing like Topsy. All well and good if their contibutions are sound, measurable and defendable but, on the opposite side of the coin, too many cooks can sometimes spoil the broth.

Clive Bawden has 29 specialities listed. If you're a specialist in 29 subjects, you're not a specialist. He should have said that his experience includes.....etc, etc. Hopefully he and the others are all people that will deliver action and results, not just bluster.

I've no idea about the new directors but myself and another former member of the legion met with Darren the new commercial person to discuss match day atompshere along with other things and found him to be very knowledgeable and filled us with great confidence on that side of the club, along with Justin I think within the commercial side of the club things will start to progress in the next few years.

Who are these lot then were these roles advertised? , a load of old farts who are on massive salaries or pensions already ..I’m sure they are really interested in the football club. Turn up once a week for a board meeting, talk absolute ***** have a few glasses of champers and some prawn sandwiches, and give their opinions on who too sell next… Bigger board than a squad at the moment. Only thing that seems to matter to the club is money. I pray Chris Martin buys our club one day.

We are told they are unpaid. I wonder if like a certain gentleman from the Cheeseassic age they invoice separately via service companies.
