Hope nobody’s expecting Mr Hawker and co to finally sack their pal in the morning. Don’t forget Gary attends board meetings so automatically is a top manager.

Congrats to Mr Hawker, the rest of the board and all the happy clapper on here. Won’t be long untill you get what you want and see us relegated to L2 with your mate Gary still at the helm.
I’ve not been one of your fans recently but am swaying towards you after tonight’s events. Have said GC should be sacked but been more restrained to date…I’ve now snapped

They’re obviously going to give him January now. Utterly depressing, writing on the wall since Fleetwood if not before.

Boxing Day is huge for the boards, if we go 1 down then it’s going to get very nasty for them, as well as GC.
His position is already untenable in my eyes, but genuinely see a full SJP calling for his head on Boxing Day, there’s no way back if that happens.
I’ve bought a ticket for BD. If we lose it’s going to be pretty ugly, patience has more than worn thin.

Just an idea! At the Pompey game why not collectively turn our backs on the game at a given time, e.g, 10th minute for five minutes - calling for his resignation. Not only that it would give a clear indication on how many supporters are fed up with how things are.
P.S, please don’t let this clown sign anyone in the transfer window or if you do only on short-term deals. The only people in Exeter who want Caldwell to stay are most probably the owners of a few bars in Town!
Sadly that idea doesn't really bare much scrutiny, and would only work on the Big Bank. You can't really turn around if you are in the seats, unless you stand up to turn around. Try that and you could have fans fighting one another if you start blocking the view of the people behind you !

I would imagine not being able to see the pitch may be a blessing with the offerings currently being served up!

It's too late to get rid if him now in time for someone to use the January transfer window ,unless they are going to trust Nicholson with a lump of money for a couple of strikers. Would we trust the board to give him the required funds to make a difference? Can't see any way out of this mess.

following through
It's not too late. He should've left 6-8 weeks ago so that's 6-8 weeks they've had to sound out possible replacements.

Sadly they haven't

This exactly. It’s now dereliction of duty.

Allowing him the window screws us for the next 18 months or longer, and the supporter base is starting to turn… save your bacon Trustees.

The supporter base has turned, there is literally no excuse for clinging on to GC at this moment. To get people back on board it'll take a run beyond what is going to happen won't it.

The time was after Fleetwood, but as you say, this is dereliction of duty now and the boards must act of GC won't walk away

Flitcroft has been given a bigger role and should be able to identify targets for January in the event we have no manager. But there’s no way the sack him now imo.

The board have backed themselves into a corner and are now set to give a failing manager January to save face. They’ll hold their hands up in February, by then it could be too late.

It’s depressing. Like others have said it just feels numb supporting City at the moment, expecting to lose every game, not really caring anymore and falling out of love with it.

Those who support GC say the players are carp or the board messed up with Nombe. Those who watch every week can see the inept tactics of failing manager. Quite frankly they’re all to blame, but there’s one you can easily remove.

GC’s side has way too many passengers and lacks any characters despite him always going on about ‘the right people’. It’s exactly what he did at his previous clubs too. MT revitalised the club supporter relationship, building a team of characters and togetherness. The manager is vital to the feeling around the club, he needs to go, but sadly he won’t.
