After another miserable defeat and same old crap review by Caldwell he has to go now. His past record proves he does not know how to recover and turn things around. The players are doing as they are told playing his tactics with horrible lack of confidence.
Like most fans I have never spoken to him but he seems a decent person who is trying his best, unfortunately he is proving to be a useless stubborn coach.
The board and people who interviewed, appointed and are still backing him should make themselves known and then resign too as they are as much responsible for this dreadful state.

THIS HAD TO BE SORTED NOW to stand any chance of remaining a league 1 club.

Serious question - what has to happen for GC to actually be sacked by our board? We are losing game after game and not scoring. What are the boards trying to achieve by keeping him on? If you have no exit strategy it just shows how inept the boards have become. Everyone is laughing at Exeter City Football Club, how does that make you feel as a fan? It’s turned into a North Korean run board, fingers in their ears and carry on doing the same things and supporting, a quite obvious, poor manager. They argue they are different to other clubs, but some common sense wouldn’t go amiss here! Supported this club from a young boy for over 30 years and feel very distant than I’ve ever been. Currently don’t trust those at board level and won’t be spending any more money with the club until things change.

It's not too late. He should've left 6-8 weeks ago so that's 6-8 weeks they've had to sound out possible replacements.

Sadly they haven't
No,it's too late for the January transfer window.Unless Nicholson has had an indication that Caldwell is going to get the push and he was had the chance to privately consider possibilities for signing a couple of strikers then that's the only thing that will save us.Although since he can't do anything apart from think about it until he is in the job in an official capacity ,it may not be enough.

New signings are going to be a collaborative effort from the manager and others within the club. You'd ideally want the new guy in place for Jan to make signings... Can still do that if there's no manager in place, but it'll be harder to attract players and there's a risk the new guy doesn't fancy some that come in. That's why there was a time-sensitive aspect to sensibly replacing GC. If we weren't in trouble before, were deep in it now.

Yes, absolute shambles of a situation we’ve got to. Even if Flitcroft/Crosby/GC have targets lined up they might not sign if we fire him now- on the other hand who the hell would want to sign for us anyway given the current mess?

There's always a saying those last signed by a manager who gets the boot are often not fancied by a new bloke in charge.

That's why he needed to go after Fleetwood. Complete shambles of a position the club and trust board have put themselves and the club in by not removing GC after Fleetwood

Not at all - the DOF is now Flitcroft, presumably to retain some continuity, whatever happens on the coaching side

In no way is this too late to appoint someone new
