I am guessing that with whatever has gone on with Alfie and his agent with regards to not signing a new contract we had to protect ourselves as best we could. If we have a good sell on it could be as good as we could get.

Just a shame that a lot of fans are not going to see such a good player in the first team shirt. We did everything we could do I think as we got Alfie on a pro contract as early as we could for as long as we could. I think there is a limit of the length of contract you can offer a 17 year old.
Probably get loaned out so some Italian club
Yet another player going to soon

If this is true then i would say the club have done well to secure £500,000 plus sell on for a player whom seemingly didn't want to be here

Not much the club can do though. The system doesn't favour smaller clubs. The alternative scenario was Pond going out of contract and possibly moving to Rangers or Celtic for nowt/peanuts as compensation.

If this is true then Cheerio Alfie, think this move is for the best and gives us a nice amount of money for someone who’s never played a proper game for us. Made it clear he didn’t want to be here and was obviously swayed by his agent despite us having an excellent pathway for youth to success and make it in the first team game. Hope for his sake he makes his money and makes it to the wolves first team, far easier to get lost in the system up there.

Loving the boy Stanno
Wouldn’t be surprised if they spotted him when we played their U21 at hednesford last season, he was awesome that day and we won 2-0.

Both of them have got a guaranteed minimum £25m Champions League payout. Hopefully they will rue being such scumbag skinflints

Listen to you lot...

One minute we need to spend more on players.

The next, players show no loyalty and, you know, agents.

All this after being told its the ownership model at fault.

Seriously, look at what you're posting and read it back before hitting "post reply".
