Can we afford to lose Ryan Bowman and Randell Williams in January ?

We are the highest scoring team in the country and have scored more goals in the last 4 games than any City team in history over 4 games and yet some people are still not convinced by our attacking players. Maybe, just maybe, the reason Randall is able to be so productive is because of the space created by the fact that defenders are so pre-occupied with Randell on the other wing.
Oh dear...........

We're actually scoring so many because Ajose warms up in such a way that he distracts the full back and wingers by pulling them to the touchline, thus creating space for Randall.

Just maybe Randall is a very talented and skilful player that he’s able to create chances for others and score goals himself!...just a thought.

It is a fact that Randell Williams regularly has two defenders up against him when he gets the ball. It is also a fact that when Joel Randall cuts inside his defender on the left he very often has a lot of space to run into. If you think these two facts are unconnected then you know very little about football. Most of our attacks came down the right last season, a very large percentage of them, and Williams was identified as one of the best players in the league, and certainly our biggest attacking threat, by opposition coaches. While his form is not at the level it was, and Joel Randall is, in Ryan Bowman's words post-match on Saturday, "world class", Randall is definitely benefitting from the way that opposition defences set up against us.

Williams certainly draws attention from the opposition unfortunately in his keenness to run at a group of players to try to beat them, which he practically never does, we often don't profit from those situations as he frequently loses the ball. If he'd learn to pick a pass in those moments the 3 or 4 defenders that he's drawn towards him would be taken out of the game, but he doesn't.
My issue with Williams is that he doesn't appear to be developing. All the raw talent he had when he came to us are still there, but IMO so are all his weaknesses. If I can compare to Watkins, Ollie had lots of areas he needed to work on when he broke through, but as quick as you could identify a weakness, Ollie seemed to work on it and eradicate it. I don't see that in Williams.
He's clearly got bags of skill but I get so frustrated watching him endlessly running into a crowd of players without seeming to really have a plan outside of that. If he could just learn to play a pass when in those situations, he'd be a better player and the team would be an even more scarey attacking threat.

Randall's stats are better because he has far better end product than Williams, he is also more alive and takes up better positions, it's as simple as that, nothing to do with how many players are picking Williams up etc, that is utter nonsense and does Randall a disservice.

It’s also a fact that Joel Randall has the ability to go past players and make space for himself...give him the ball around the edge of the penalty area and he has the ability to play people in even in those heavily congested areas.

You clearly don't rate lower league management / scouting. Any Tom, Dick or Harry can see from the stats that Williams isn't out main dangerman in terms of creating chances and scoring goals. Both Randall and Jay are way above him and are up there with the best in the league.

Williams isn't often surrounded by two players either, he is regularly on one one with the opposing full back, sadly it often comes to very little.

You have simply got into the habit of churning out the same lines time and time again regardless if they have any relevance to the here and now.

Pretty sure he described Jake T's pass for the 5th goal as 'world class' rather than anything Joel did.

I think that having Randall on one wing and Williams on the other is doing very well for us. Two different sorts of wingers attacking them must create nightmares for defending teams and Randell is only being critiscised now because it's his turn. Get off his back and we might see the true classy player that he has been and will be again.
