Apparently Courtneys in St Thomas do really good faggots. Might try and pick some up on my way to Dartmoor in a couple of weeks time.

The Fox Inn, Ansty, Dorchester, Dorset.

Busy outside bar spoilt by a strong and bitter wind.

Inches cider? I used to drink a little glass of that with a Sunday roast when I was a young kid around my grandparent’s house. I thought they stopped making it. Weren’t they based in Winkleigh? I thought they had rebranded as Sams cider. I may be wrong, but Sam was one of the sons of the original family. Maybe GrecIan may know. Think he’s from Winkleigh. Getting me all excited if Inches is back in the room. Going to google it.

The barman serving me said it was made in Winkleigh near Oakhampton (is there a Winkleigh down thataways?) He then went on to say he wasn't sure of what the cost of a pint was. I said I believed it was 75pence which caused great levity before he ripped me for £3.60.
