Just released from Prison after a 3 stretch for cheese related offences.

Great to be back in my local. Can I get you lads a beer? What do you fancy?
Jail Ale for me please Sidey.

Was it 3 days or 3 weeks at HMP ?

Has Mrs Sidey taken you back ?

So much to catch up on.

Good to have you back (y)

The Calthorpe Arms somewhere between Chancery Lane and Kings X last night for the monthly APFSCIL Football quiz (my second time in our team). Usually battling it out at the bottom, last night we overcame a horrendous start with our lack of knowledge of the 1974/75 season to come through and finish 3rd.

It's not really somewhere to go drinking as it's a hotel.
Challenge accepted!

In RaWZ we trust....Amen.
The Black County Arms,Walsall(in the company of a few other users on this forum)

A really great pub with a huge selection of ales.
The food looked good & was reasonably priced.

A cracking pint of Mild served.

The faggots and mushy peas were lovely. As was my pint of GFB.

Another one to vouch for the quality of the faggots at the Black Country Arms - washed down with a couple of pints of Hopback's New Zealand Pale.

Post-match had a couple of pints of sour beer at the Post Office Vaults near Birmingham New Street station.

Back home in Exeter with my son and former work colleagues for the Chiefs vs Barf game we called into The Ship, The Boathouse at the Warren, The Angel - complete with it's copy of the Graun on the table (can't steer clear of the lefty instruction manual) and the bar in the Great Western Hotel.

Oh, and several pints at Sandy Park.
