NO,NO and NO again, the sugar daddies can FRO !
It is time for a huge change : Yes, somebody please paint them bleddy red seats in the IP.
It's those things called pounds. If you want us to go up and make a success of it then it's going to cost. A lot of our finances are bank rolled by transfer income. If we're going up then you want to keep the players we are currently selling. That immediately leaves a large cash void. Then you have extra cost of wages, players go up their wages get higher. It's all pretty simple really.Don't quite understand the comments that the club won't rise higher than League 1 under the current model. Given investment, it is highly likely that the club also won't rise higher than League 1 so may as well run ourselves as we are doing now because investor or not, our league position isn't likely to massively change IMO. Does anyone think that if we pumped some cash into the club then we'd be challenging for promotion to the Championship?
Good post. Money is no guarantee of anything. It is for this reason that I would not give up what we have now.Don't quite understand the comments that the club won't rise higher than League 1 under the current model. The likelihood for most smaller clubs at our level if they chuck money at it is that they still end up in the bottom 2 divisions. Those same league positions can be achieved by spending a minimal amount with a good manager and good signings.Good post. Money is no guarantee of anything. Hey amigo , Thanks for letting the rest of us mortals know how to get round the darned swear filter lolAnd get that darned camera gantry shifted!!
Yes, it's time for serious changes.I am a strong believer that we need to move into a new 12,000 capacity stadium that can Generate a good income 7 days and 7 nights a week.
The Trust I feel has done a good job but clearly cannot take us any further so I think it’s time to look for a new owner/s who can take us further now.
Anyone Agree on either or can we survive at SJP for years to come and also be a trust owned club for a lot longer.
He is entitled to his view, Totally agree but this is an open forum and everyone else are entitled to their views and if those views differ then that makes for good conversationYes, it's time for serious changes.
A new stadium is not one of them, though. It should be the last thing on the Club's mind as they navigate what will inevitably be an existential cash crisis over the next 12 months.
SJP is a jewel in the crown in the city centre and keeps the Club connected to its fans. We should only consider moving to a bigger stadium if City get to the Championship and we can guarantee crowds of 10,000+ every home game. But there is a 0% chance of that as the Club is currently run.
On the topic of Danny's posts, it's sad to see people gang up on him here so much. He is entitled to his view as much as anyone else.
