Swansea City Sign Exeter’s Josh Key

Swansea City have confirmed that Josh Key has signed with them for a three year contract with an option for a fourth. He’ll wear the number 2 shirt.

No fee has been agreed between the two clubs for the 23 year-old and negotiations continue. The transfer could go to a tribunal. The transfer is subject to international clearance.

The move will be a step up for Josh Key from League One to the Championship.

Josh Key had joined the well renowned Exeter City Academy from Torquay United and he has had loan spells at Bideford and Tiverton Town and signed professionally with the Grecians in 2018. In all he made 149 appearances for the Grecians, scoring eight goals.

For moment he’ll join another former Exeter academy player Matt Grimes.

We wish Josh Key all the best on this well deserved move.
