When did they change the laws of football so that every time Zanzala challenges for the ball then the referee must award Port Vale a free kick?

As he did last weekend, mainly it appeared to try and even things up after he gave the 2nd goal. We were playing against 12 much of the 2nd half.

The referee seemed to me to signal it was a ‘coming together’.
It wasn’t it was a push.
Soft, I know and Jevani was looking for it, I know.
But, I bet if it had happened anywhere else on the pitch the referee would have given a direct free kick.
So, it was a penalty.

Agreed. Also the sort of decision that an away side doesn't get, but a home side just might. Frustrating.

We'll be lucky to hang on to him - hope that our trust / patience with his rehab is a factor when the offers come rolling in.
PS Great recommendation by George Friend !

He has 200% justified Matty's perserverance and I wouldnt be surprised to see him in the PFA L2 Team of the Season even though he has missed a huge chunk as I suspect his peers recognise his quality. However, we should remember that next sesson he will only be getting back to the league he was in previously. He looks like he can play Championship level so keeping him will be very difficult I suspect?
