Thatcher like Blair, Cameron et all, They all won with majorities in a system where the majority of the people don't vote for them, FPTPAnother one that can’t look past his own bias and comprehend that BJ can be just as popular as he can be hated.
Thatcher was hated by millions yet won three General Elections.
Correct cooler analysis.Oh the melodrama! It doesn't mean it's definitely No Deal at all. It just hasn't removed it as an option and it's the right thing to have it still on the table.
My crush on Caroline Flint could be developing into something more serious.
35% voted Labour in 2005 that was enough to give Blair a 66 majority....Can’t see either of the two main partys wanting to alter the voting system, neither would be in government alone again(not a bad idea)Thatcher like Blair, Cameron et all, They all won with majorities in a system where the majority of the people don't vote for them, FPTP
Agree, Not when you win with that percentage35% voted Labour in 2005 that was enough to give Blair a 66 majority....Can’t see either of the two main partys wanting to alter the voting system, neither would be in government alone again(not a bad idea)
And Labour's stunning victory at Peterborough was done on 31% of the vote, having lost over 17% of their vote share in the process.35% voted Labour in 2005 that was enough to give Blair a 66 majority....Can’t see either of the two main partys wanting to alter the voting system, neither would be in government alone again(not a bad idea)
Maybe they move back because he has a personal hygiene problem. He seems to be the type of chap who goes around farting.Did the Telegraph really write this?
Agree. Only way I think it would happen if it was a condition for a Labour - Lib Dem coalition.35% voted Labour in 2005 that was enough to give Blair a 66 majority....Can’t see either of the two main partys wanting to alter the voting system
Refreshing honesty there art. The Reverend Blair and Call Me Dave both got elected with clever PR, fudge and mudge. Are the British people ready for your type of honesty ? If they are we might get somewhere. Trouble is when the costs are spelled out a lot of folk (most ?) are expecting someone other than themselves to pay.You long for a party to say "This is the sort of society we want to live in, this is what it will cost you, this is how we are going to build and sustain it and if we don't manage to do this, by all means kick us out".
So perhaps you can avail me of the other options still open?Oh the melodrama! It doesn't mean it's definitely No Deal at all. It just hasn't removed it as an option and it's the right thing to have it still on the table.
