Sad news... He was at SJP as a spectator just after signing for Chelsea for the friendly in July 1996.

How far short have you sold him........ He, along with Roberto Mancini, scored the goals that took Sampdoria to the Serie A title which, in terms of size, was akin to Leicester winning the Premier League. He also won the Coppa Italia there three times and also the UEFA Cup having lost the final the season before. At Juve he won Serie A, the Coppa Italia and The European Cup. He was so, so much more than 'of Chelsea and Italy fame.
