Speeding does not kill. Coming to an abrupt halt does.
QUOTE]

Are you suggesting fans should continue to Exeter Central when they could get off at St James?

Speeding, whilst drunk, stoned, without a seatbelt, with bold tyres, tired and in bad weather.....kills....FACT!
Reticent tyres for a safer highway!

So therefore speeding isn't a casual factor in 95% of accidents and 88% of fatal ones - why aren't the government ramming this down our throats and getting the rozzers to come down heavily on the real causes of accidents instead of trotting out the tired, and inaccurate, old mantra of 'speed kills' every five seconds?
So using that theory...

3 out of every 10 accidents on the road are caused by drivers over the limit. 7 out of 10 are caused by sober drivers. Therefore using this theory it is safer to drive ******!

Of course. His actions caused an accident that resulted in multiple injuries, he should, IMO, go.
You clearly feel very strongly about this. Why don't you contact the club or Nick directly to voice your opinion on his employment status? Perhaps resign your season ticket? No? Doesn't affect you as directly as an increase in ticket prices or, god forbid, someone sitting in your seat at a friendly so you've no real interest.

Too many keyboard warriors on this website. Empty vessels make the most noise and all that. The hypocrisy on this site sometimes makes me laugh out loud. It does.

Have a good day.

Thanks
Chris

I wasn't, ******** said 100% of accidents might have been reduced if speed was lower.
Duhhhhhh ....!

No he didn't.

You are either on a wind up Moxey, you can't read, or you are very dim for a professional gentlemen.

I introduced that particular concept because it actually is a fact, it can't be argued with on any logical or semantic basis, unfortunately logic seems to have very little to do with some people's rants, er posts.

The issue here is not statutory speed limits and their enforcement, it is whether or not an 18 yr old who had a drink and then got involved in an accident, for which the CPS didn't charge him with anything "serious", should be be sacked from his job.

Some people think he should be, I think that is a vindictive and moralistic viewpoint attitude, an opinion. Pages of spurious opinions on the relative effects of drink, speed, or "inappropriate speed", mostly justified by largely ill informed and assumptive opinion, rather than fact or logic, really isn't particularly relevant.

It is in my view a moral question on which people appear to be split pretty much down the middle, based on my personal impression of what an in depth analysis of the post count would reveal. I think that is a shame but suspect that the management team of ECFC will fall into the "rap his knuckles and give him another chance" gang, time as always will tell.

Vroooooooooooooom !

That was me withdrawing interest from another thread festooned with pointless pedantism, but being careful to withdraw at an appropriate speed.

p.s. It was actually easier withdrawing interest from this thread than it would be from an Icelandic bank.

Definition of stupid, knowing the truth, seeing th
Plonker motorists.

Motorist; blue ford escort; E732 ETA. Encountered this one this morning on the A377 Crediton - Exeter; in the 40 mph zone; went passed me at approx 60 mph. all lights blazing including the fog lights; I saw no fog this morning! Cretin then a few 100 yards up the road now in the NSL; had to brake brake; brake brake as a 4x4 was turning right into a sharp turning; E732 ETA then had to go onto the opposite side of the road or hit the back of the 4x4 on a blind bend; luckily nothing was coming the other way doing 60 mph. E732 ETA continued to believe he was imortal (and probably an ace driver) was again soon to be stopped by the usual build up of traffic; 1/4 mile further on; in the end E732 ETA was never more than 10 seconds ahead of me; E732 ETA speeded up at every junction to close the gap ahead of him so traffic couldn't join ahead of him; and was constantly brake brake; brake brake. I wonder how he utilised those precious 10 seconds? Perhaps he should look up the word courtesy in the dictionary; more importantly perhaps he should take an advanced drivers course.
