Wow, some strike from Archie; he's looked good so far but wasn't expecting that.
I was at the match with a Gas supporting mate plus 3 x Swindon supporters and that goal had them clapping and drooling to a man. It was that good.Wow, some strike from Archie; he's looked good so far but wasn't expecting that.
Agree that to take that shot reflected a lot of confidence. He really should be allowed to continue in the team to fulfill his potential.Incredible hit yesterday from such an inexperienced player - the confidence to make that run in the first place was commendable, then to back that up with the bravery to take the shot when the half-chance opened up, and the quality to place the shot to perfection... as I said, incredible.
Great to hear the chant of "Archie Collins, he's one of our own" loud and clear over a stadium of silent Swindon fans on the iFollow player (clap)
………….and NOT sold too early !!Agree that to take that shot reflected a lot of confidence. He really should be allowed to continue in the team to fulfill his potential.
Think Taylor or Law would get pushed wide.Another really good performance from this boy. He has added the balance to the midfield that we lacked at the start of the season. I can't see him losing his spot if he keeps playing so well. When Boateng and Law are back it'll be one or the other because Taylor isn't getting dropped and it'd be unfair to drop Collins after he has dug us out of that slump.
Indeed. One of the benefits of appointing a manager from within & who also managed the U23 side.Agree with others that Collins looks very comfortable in that holding role in the middle - more so than when he was playing outwide.
Well done to Matt T for being willing to give him the chance.
