Looking at Watts today he seemed to me to not be in control of himself for much of what he did.
He moved about a lot but not to any great effect and his challenges were poorly timed and a bit rash.
I could see him picking up a mountain of cards of different colours.
But, to be fair, I don’t suppose he sees himself as a right sided defender.
I’ll trust GC’s judgement on this one - not that I have much choice either way!

For fun... One player from each relegated team I'd take;
  • Cheltenham: Will Ferry, LWB/LM, 2g, 4a.
  • Fleetwood: Carl Johnston, RB, 1g, 1a.
  • Port Vale: Ethan Chislett, CAM, 9g, 7a.
  • Carlisle: Jordan Gibson, RM/CM, 7g, 3a.

Caleb Watts - He’s not done much to give GC an easy decision on his future……but the introduction of Dion Rankine in the second half today really exposed his short comings.
Don’t rate him

Think people are hard on Caleb, he's had few chances to prove himself this season and today was somewhat thrown to the lions. Been impressed with him when he has had a chance, he's young and willing. If he was Sonny Cox people would be giving him every chance.

Paraphrasing Dion’s interview after the game:

Dion: I’ve £ucking loved every minute of being here

Interviewer: Have you spoken to Gary yet about staying longer with us?

Dion: No, but I’m sure I will very soon

Sounds good to me!

Still the best player reveal in a long while, with him surfing in Cornwall

I’d take him but only as a permanent and a project

Rankine's skill level and ability to beat a man is out of this world. A fit Mitchell keeps him out the team though. I'd not be disappointed to see Rankine return next season.
