I can't see us releasing Carroll, he plays virtually every game. More likely I think is that we offer him a new deal but he'll move on of his own accord. Personally I hope he stays as he's a class player and even if we signed Woods or someone of similar quality, we need a good squad.

Well IIRC Sweeney stuck to the right so assume Aimson or Cheick should have shifted more left but neither are suited to that side, and neither IMO is Rankine.

Aimson played the full 90 minutes. Purrington was replaced by Diabate who went into the middle of the defence, hence the gap on the left. None of Sweeney, Aimson or Diabate play there. Here to be corrected if wrong:sneaky:
