    BoS Elections

You know what? Until you said it I just assumed you used your second given name. The mistake is on both the top of your manifesto and the voting slip. Why don't you contact the guy from Lincoln who is the returning officer?

When a man is tired of London..

Difficult to say with any certainty. But, there appeared to be a distinct lack of urban noise - vehicles, loud talking, even mobiles ringing etc. The pace of life is different and more in tune with how I tend to go around the place so felt really good. As for safety, I certainly didn't feel...

    BoS Elections

I recognise a fair few names of the people nominating. I'd be interested to hear why they think their particular candidate is worth the vote. R H-K, tafkagg, RaWZ, Cheggers and there must be one or two other lurkers in there somewhere.

    Stuart Thurgood Retires

And Glenn Poole. Feel sorry for the guy. Had a badly broken leg a couple of years back and was great against us on far too many occassions for my liking. What we'd have given for a player like him that season we faded away under AI.

Over a full season that equates to 65-70 points. That would most definitely be progress.

    Candidate Husting

Jay, Good to hear a new voice. Is Pride of Devon the commercial part of the club? If so would you have any conflict of interest being on the BoS?

    Ivor pitching in

How can there be more to it? Pitch In is a Trust, not club, fundraising scheme. If there are any strings we should not accept it.

I have a feeling that you'll end up winning a Darwin Award at some point :)

    Congratulations

I suppose it depends how much profit it makes. Would we, as a Trust run club want a commercail enterprise to not, at least, self finance? Does it cost twice as much to print a 104 page programme than a 52 page one? I don't know, but it means you are cutting out the advertising revenue too.

When a man is tired of London..

Tis a grey area. I'll give you my answer based on the place. Wimbledon? Yes. Bromley? No Brentford? Yes Ilford? No But they are all about the same distance and time from central London.

When a man is tired of London..

Horses for Courses. Dr Johnson's quote is just not relevant anymore. But London has so many different facets that it rarely gets boring. I appreciate it is crowded and people are seemingly fairly selfish but the infrastructure wasn't built to deal with 8 million people plus tourists. You can...

    Trust AGM & Election Details

Maybe an X Factor style audition for everyone. A panel of Lammie (Cowell), Shazza (Cole) and ******** (Louis) Or, just chuck them all in a hospitality box for an afternoon and turn on the cameras Big Brother style

    Troy Archibald-Henville

Looked like it was a joint effort on Jonah and Troy's part. Yes, it looks as if Jonah could have been more commanding although I'd be surprised if he didn't call for it. And if TAH was trying to nod it back to Jones then that, for me, is a poor decision as he didn't look to be balanced enough...

Will rugby become Exeter's dominant sport?

And that maybe gives a better idea of the Chiefs' "core" support, c 7,000 as opposed to ours c 4,800. Given the relative catchment areas there is probably not a great deal of difference in who is going to watch either. Of course there may be some choosing to do one rather than the other, but on...

Will rugby become Exeter's dominant sport?

If everything reamins equal then the Chiefs will (continue to) get bigger crowds, more media exposure and more "big" games, even European ties. So, in that sense rugby will be more dominant. But, as you say, a proportion of the crowd uplift, although I don't think anyone quite knows how much...
