I couldn't be more chuffed for my travelling companion. Well deserved; not least for having to endure me waffling on for hours on long journeys and forgiving me for that wrong turning I took when driving back from Hartlepool.

Only two and a half hours. I think there was much we agreed on and we certainly shared the same overall aims. Perhaps the difference was over how best to achieve them. We didn't fall out on what we couldn't agree on and I found the meeting very constructive. I am confident Adrian feels the same...

I remember him well in his 1990/91 spell. Commonly referred to as Mogadon Morgan. Did he partner Eamonn Dolan up front for a while during this period? If so it must have been one of the least prolific striking partnerships at City.
