Apologies - I've just come back from vacation too. Have just posted cheque to Andy Gillard.

Put me down for £20 again - no dinner and not fussed about which player.

    Funniest moment of the season?

Brighton at home. Their sub keeper came out 5 mins late at the start of the game and was looking for his team mates in front of the Flybe instead of this season's new dugout location in the OG - Gus Poyet and his crew were wetting themselves.

Tranmere vs Exeter city matchday thread

I agree - lighten up everone. Can't we still achieve our best league finish? I've enjoyed this season. The final league position doesn't lie - we're not good enough for play-offs but we're a lot better than relegation material. Let's just beat our green chums next week and then reflect on a good...

Troy will get a goal this season - someone please remind which game it was at SJP where he tried to lob the keeper from the half way line? I hadn't laughed so much in ages.

    I want Tis to stay

I'll be contentious and argue that the people who say this, haven't been following City for as long as some of our esteemed brother/sisterhood. And I hasten to add that I don't count myself in that esteemed company as I've only been following since the mid-70s. He may be extremely stubborn at...

    Our crowd is sh*t

Agree - And only our 'on loan' player came and applauded the BB at the end of the game. What's that all about?

    Our crowd is sh*t

Agree - I endured them at Swindon too, when imo they were worse.

Exeter city V Brentford JPT Matchday Thread

Bizarrely, did anyone else not think that this was a game crying out for someone in the mould of our No. 9 to make those unselfish, lung bursting runs into the channels? We needed our forwards to be more mobile - to be available to receive a pass, or at least be prepared to make space for their...

Swindon Town v Exeter City FC Matchday Thread

Took my lad to his first ever City league away game - what a match to choose! He wanted to leave at half time but was glad he stayed as he enjoyed seeing me getting more and more frustrated as the game wore on. Interesting to see Steve Perryman giving encouragement/shouting instructions from the...

3 points tonight or win on Monday ?

Ditto for a L1 manager. Add a national cup win to your cv along with two promotions with the same club, and then maybe it's time to say 'job done'.

To all you noble haters out there...

He's beginning to win me around. The past couple of times that I've seen him play (Bris Rovers and today), he's played pretty well. Just not sure about the balance of the midfield at present - what's happened to Bertie?

Exeter City V Brighton Matchday Thread

I too was near the away dugout with my lad today, and echo your comments about Gus - top bloke. However, the funniest bit was right at the start of the game when their reserve keeper came out late from the dressing room, and ended up on the Doble touchline looking for the dugout and his mates...
