Always felt Simple Minds were very under-rated.

I really, really, hope you're joking.

Not at all.

Had loads of hits, albums. Better than U2, and most of the sh*te you like.

Deacon Blue made their national TV debut on the Wide Awake Club.

For an unknown and, no doubt, slightly distirbing reason, i can still remember sitting and watching it.

....And got to shag Patsy Kensit. Fair play to that.

I would agree with the 'Better than U2' comment. It's not hard though really.

You can critisize my music taste all day long mate, I'm used to it from her indoors ( A fan of Rhianna and Michael Buble :-O ). It's like water off a duck's back.

Too many negative vibes on here at the moment, so wanted to start a more positive thread.

The Buzzcocks - Much much better than the sex pistols.
Have seen the Buzzcocks 4 x and The Pistols twice. The Pistols were not about the music quality they were about the attitude so you can't compare.

I was, and still am, a big fan of The Smiths.

Whilst they had what could be seen as a bit of a cult following, i don't feel that they got the wider appreciation that they deserved, but then again, i guess that they probably didn't want it.
