The first game for City u18s in Merit League 1 is this Saturday when we take on Stevenage at the Cat and Fiddle.

Comfortably mid-table
Should be interesting. Stevenage are one of the few teams to really turn our U18's over when they knocked them out of the FA Youth cup 4-0.

Jack Sparkes and Ben Seymour both scored for their loan clubs on Saturday.

U15 Ben Chrisene represented England at St George's Park against Belgium last week.

I see he was on the bench for the U18's in their recent game v Stevenage. I hadn't really heard of him before & he deserves great credit & congratulations for getting into the England set up, as do the Academy staff, no doubt.
My only concern is that this may well put him on the radar of premiership clubs who can just come in & take him for miniscule compensation, if they're so minded.

Attracting interest from Fulham.

He would have to agree to any move. And the history of others like Sean Goss who leave the ECFC academy before making a first team debut works out nothing like as well as those who stay and establish themselves such as Grimes and Watkins. Ironically what the Prem clubs then say is that their youngsters need to play against league two opposition...far wiser long term to get 50 League Two or League One games..
