Now that Scott isn't playing, the hunt has begun for a new scapegoat. That happens to be Aimson. Its wrong.
True but Exeweb loves a scapegoat.

Is not Aimson’s ability that’s in doubt, but his body language is, at times, horrific.

Against Shrewsbury, he had a right go at Vil, who had just made a great save. Others congratulated him, but Will just let rip. Not a good look.

And why he did he let rip?

Too many sprouts prior to kick off?

Vil pointed out it was his man that was through on goal.

Diabate is undroppable after last night's performance as, not to the same extent, is Sweeney. Which leaves Aimson languishing on the bench which seems a waste of one of our few good players. His crossfield passes are, as they say, different class and the side is (even) poorer without them.

So why not use him as a defensive midfielder, an old fashioned anchorman - a Number 4 in old money, though they seem be called Number Sixes these days. He could protect the back four and provide the solidity in the middle of the park we sorely need.

I've seen far worse ideas Art, but honestly, there's been far too much messing about trying to fit people into positions that aren't their forte. It all needs simplifying, and players playing where they're most comfortable.

I don't think Aimson is comfortable on the bench!

Ah, the good old days when the half-time dressing room refreshments comprised a slice of orange, a pint of bitter and a couple of Number Sixes...or, for the less well paid players "Number Tens".
Although at City they probably shared a packet of (St James) Park Drives.
NB: I fully appreciate that you have to be a child of the 60s to get this reference.
