Good book - really enjoyed this one. I'm planning to use it as my blue print for late middle age.

This is on my 'want to read' list. Is it as good as his last book?

Currently, A Clockwork Orange.

For what it's worth......I enjoyed it more than the Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night. I thought it was similar in style to David Nobbs.

Swanaldo,

I thought his last book was better by far but A Spot of Bother was very readable still. Probably enjoyed Curious Incident more because I teach in a school with a high percentage of special needs and the book was one of the most true to life accounts that I have ever read, very good.
I'm re-reading the Diaries of Adrian Mole. Hilarious, have they ever been made into TV shows/films?

Swanny et al -

Curious Incident was a work of pure genius. Spot of Bother, although I'm only 100 pages in, is written in the same clear, matter of fact style, but I'm not sure its going to be the sort of book, like the last one, which you brow-beat people into reading. Its written from the prerspective of a number of people in a family and I think he catches the differences between them very well. I would recommend it.

On another book now, currently reading On The Edge My Story by Richard Hammond. So far so good.
