I agree, and I confess I thought Sweenz would have problems in Div 1. But so far he has been made of stern stuff, and I'm glad everything has worked out well for him and he got his just reward with promotion.
I’d agree with this and would actually go as far as to say that Sweeney is very important to how we play. He is comfortable in playing out from the back and has such good delivery from deeper areas as well.

I must admit I assumed that Stubbs would come in for Diabate for Tuesday due to how direct and physical Wycombe will be. However; due to the fact that MT singled him out for praise yesterday it will interesting to see if that’s the case.

In fairness Sweeney has played every game so far this season though so I could potentially see him rested and Diabate shifted to RCB and Stubbs coming into the Center, especially with what Wycombe will throw at us.

Tuesday will be a big test and our first game against a team that will be pushing for playoffs. Hopefully the boys can bounce back well!

I think I'd go for Sweenz, Stubbs and Hartridge. Wycombe usually know all the dark arts and I feel that we need as much experience as possible. So for me Diabete as sub.

I don't disagree with you. However, if MT was impressed with how Diabete played it would be difficult to put him on the bench.

I saw a comment from a Cambridge fan singing the praises of our number 39 so it certainly seems Diabate played well.

Out injury again, the knee injury just doesn’t seem to be getting any better. Out of contract end of this season. Surely, even as good as he is on his day, he will be released?

I fear you may be right, but let's cross that bridge when we come to it, we've got a whole season to play out yet, and surely he can play half the games like last year, on his game he is the best defender we have

The only way he'll be here next season is if his injury record this season is as bad as last season. If it clears up, he'll be off to pastures new. If it doesn't we either gamble that it will or (more likely) release him.

Hopefully offered a pay as you play contract. Guessing a man who's had the best part of two seasons out, that's all he'll get offered from anyone

Get him over to America to see the worlds best knee specialist and get it sorted once and for all.

Either scenario is lose lose. Had high hopes when we started the season but now he’s becoming a liability , a player we can’t rely on .We’ve had a few players like that before , it rarely works out , you end up carrying them.
