If Carlsberg did football clubs...
Great stuff before the break.

Got to stop the flares though. We've spoken about it lots on here. Whatever our views on it..the FA will punish that.

Good applause for Sam on 29 minutes. Including players.

Good half of football from City and thoroughly deserve the lead. Tbh, Walsall keeper has kept them in it.

Walsall are better than Scunthorpe.... But not by much 😁

Just back home what happened to Zanzala please. Looked good last week and had high hopes for another good display today.

A Zanzala injury is not in the script.

Just like last week we've controlled the game and Cam Dawson hasn't been troubled once but we've been much, much better going forward and constantly troubled the Walsall defence. However, after a miracle double save, losing Zhanzala and seeing lots of dangerous crosses flash across the box it was a relief to finally score when Dieng lost his marker at a corner. Key, Stubbs, Diabate, Caprice and MJ have all played well but Collins has been outstanding - when he starts driving forward with the ball he looks so dangerous.

Good half. Walsall started strong and the first 15 minutes was two teams throwing their punches, ours landed better with Zanzala heading twice forcing their keeper into two good saves, Walsall regained their composure and hit back but not with anything too concerning, then Jay tested their keeper with a shot just outside the area. After that it got a bit scrappy, we had two good crosses flash across the goal but noone running in on the back post to tap them in. Walsall haven't really offered much going forward since the first 15 minutes, after a few wasted corners Collins puts in a fizzer onto the penalty spot where Dieng came from nowhere to power home. Josh Key has been a pain in their neck down the right, Caprice isn't having his best game and I'd like to see Sparkes given a run for half an hour or so. Midfield has been good, Collins and Dieng have control in there. Our defence has looked untroubled so far and very comfortable.

He walked off, so hopefully not too serious.
