Dorking Wanderers quite a cool name that 😎
They are the reformed Dorking who went bust a few years ago. Load of money been pumped in there and they have a lovely new 4G pitch. Also the new headquarters of the Surrey FA. Very much local upstarts but crowds are still minuscule and the ground itself is Western League standard.

Quite a few similar size small towns in the area so can see why crowds are low. Sounds like they have a go ahead chairman though and promotion to the Conference if it happens should open a few eyes in the area and help boost attendances. I see they even have the famous Dorking cockerel on the club badge...I wouldn’t say no for a trip up in the FA Cup soon.

Any idea when the step 5/6 league allocations get issued? In previous years it gets decided by end of June and there’s normally a fair shakeup as clubs withdraw or go pop.

Never done this before
Behind the Pearly Gates John Betjeman may have a wry smile on his face !
Indeed CB. Great result for Dartford, though Havant & W in the semis is going to be much much tougher.

New club Bury AFC have been allocated a place in next season's North West Counties League Division One North.

The club was formed by fans of Bury FC, who were expelled from the English Football League in August.

So Bury FC, No league to play in, What's the future for them if any?

Seems very confusing with the different factions.

Their supporters trust (Forever Bury) completely failed to step up to the plate when it was needed. Rather than properly canvas fans opinion and move forward as one they were completely ineffectual, and allowed a splinter group - who until recently were entirely self appointed - to set up what is effectively a protest club rather than a "phoenix", which has completely split the fan base. Some of those original self appointed group saying they would carry on with the protest club even if the original club was saved divided it further (although some of those are no longer involved).

Steve Dale has only ever wanted to make a quick profit, and has zero interest in owning a football club. What gets more and more bewildering as time passes is how he plans to do that - especially after turning down a decent offer from a local consortium.

There are basically three camps amongst bury fans ....

Those who are fully behind the protest club and will go and watch them ground sharing in a different town

Those who would follow a proper phoenix club, but only if they play at Gigg (the majority of people I know are in this camp)

Those who are clinging to the hope the original club survives and if it doesn't will give up with football entirely

Sounds like a recipe for disaster Olds, If the fans are not united then none will survive, They weren't the biggest club with a huge fan base, On their own each group will find it really hard to raise cash, Get a decent stadium etc, Surely any "Phoenix" club should be solely interested in buying Gigg Lane, Getting Dale out and prove to the FA they are the best viable alternative as one voice.
