I am currently assiduously re- reading that thread but have been distracted by Tom Kerridge on TV in Saving Britain’s Pubs looking at a pub called the Prince Albert in/near Stroud

Many classics to be sure but I think previous QM’s would rear up. Just imagine Elgy kicking off if I pasted up a pic of someone clutching a travel guide in front of Exeter cathedral. :)

Nightmare to park nearby, but a cracking proper pub is that one, Al 👍

I am now recording the series to see how it pans out as that pub was only making a profit of £3,000 per annum based on what the tenants said:(

Agreed Elgy, love the Albert me. Top of Rodbourough Hill, so not *officially* Stroud Town, but to all in tents and porpoises...

About a 15 minute stroll across the fields for me - proper Gloucestershire.
