Last week wasn't poetry on the pitch but we came away with a result and 3 points on the board.
Will gladly take that again today but 1-4 @75/1 would be a song.
Sing a song for our Stanno.

Keeping an eye on the trains, hoping to be there. Winnable game.

I'm always hoping for a better performance, but this is a big marker of the season to come . Was last week a misfire ! And are we really a team to push for promotion let's see then .

Never done this before
Hoping we can get at least a point at Stevenage but I fear we're in for a Ruud awakening this afternoon - we've some decent midfielders but they rarely play as a convincing unit.

Line up options imho

Ward

Sweeney A Martin Parkes Moxey or Woodman

Williams Taylor Law L Martin

Ajose Bowman

or

Taylor Collins

Williams Law L Martin

Bowman

Away from home the second option may be the most sensible however to bin Ajose after one half seems harsh, if we want the Bowman and Ajose partnership to work we are going to have to give it a chance otherwise there wasn't a lot of point in signing Ajose. Partnerships generally need to be given time to build an understanding as well as confidence.

Last week the midfield did the front two no favours with a severe lack of quality coming from Taylor and Collins (both couldn't pass water). Putting Law in the middle gives you some creativity and ball playing ability.

For me, the 4-2-3-1 partnership suits all our players best, except Ajose who is going to have wait for his chance to prove his worth just like others, including Stockley, have had to do in the past. i'm still intrigued to know who will play at right back if Pierce were to unfotunately get injured at the last minute - can Warren play there?
