Gaymer's Olde English..a lovely pint.

Any way, back on thread. Poor spelling is one thing text-speak quite another.

There are spell checkers all over the place for those that aren't too lazy to use them.

They still won't solve the 'there, they're or their' problem though......
Or the use of "of" for "have" and "shirley" for "surely"

However it is entirely different to the situation I came across last night when someone was deciding to write 'hu' instead of 'who'. FFS it saves one letter for the price of everyone else deciding you are an idiot. Just what is the point?

There's also a spell check in Google Chrome, for those who might fancy trying something new.
Have they fixed the very serious security flaws in that yet, if not, I'd give it a very wide berth, or at least not use it for anything remotely important.

I love the whole film. I also once saw a band named "Don't call me Shirley" in a pub in Branscombe (not the masons, the other one)

On topic, bad spelling is fine, though I struggle to understand some text writings. That said if they were in the Queens English I think I'd still struggle to understand them.
