Excellent half. Pompey not allowed to play much football.

Alot of fouls by Portsmouth. The referee has done well so far.
According to the Pompey fans where I'm sitting they think he's being too soft with us. Not the best half but keeping them quiet

Wish Ward would catch it occasionally.

Good solid performance that. Everyone working hard and good to see the experienced players constantly encouraging the youngsters
Warren's legs might not be in peak condition any more but he does talk the defence through the game.

Listening on Talk *****, they are impressed with us, particularly Fisher.
Maybe keep it as it is then bring on Matt Jay
Lee Hendrie is shocking on Sky Sports, He is clearly desperate for Pompey to score.

Really impressed with the quick one/two touch football we're playing. Just need a ball to drop . . .

If we can get it to penalties it would be an achievement as expect them to throw the kitchen sink at us in second half . Richardson looks good tonight

Can’t complain about that 45 minutes. We look decent enough and Macclesfield hold the lead.

Williams or Jay coming on could be fun against tired legs. I mean this is the advantage of making more changes than them, go to be some weary legs out there in these conditions, even though the pitch looks incredible.

Good steady performance so far and with Law and Martin playing we must be in a chance. Although MT may decide to change it and bring MJ on for Law.
