Talking of the GoHome Office, the usually attention seeking Priti Vacant has been uncharacteristically quiet during the current Tory cat-fight?!

What might her cunning plan be...the Yozzer Hughes gambit?

One is tempted to exclaim "unbelievable" but sadly, these days, this sort of thing is all too believable. This government is unprecedentedly awful.

Jinx will be delighted by this rank bad behaviour and and Tavy will note that this report comes from the institutionally biased BBC so can be dismissed...
Apparently, all that is needed by the Government and its supporters is to mention the word 'woke'.

This word it is believed has mystical and supernatural properties and instantly defeats any rational argument.

Simple, You privatise these industry under the illusion of let the markets decide, Competition will bring down prices and investments etc when in fact all it did was make giant profits to the companies (Without the investments) and shareholders, Lets take Water for example, Absolute no competition, You can't say "I'll swap SWW and go for Scottish water because they're much cheaper" Customers get a choice, We're consumers and we don't get that choice. Also they say "The pipes are from the Victorian age that's why we need to invest" They have owned these companies for over 35 years now! How long does it take?

There is a real groundswell of opinion that are wanting to renationlise them but even Starmer has ruled this out, I don't want everything back in public ownership but the Utilities should be brought back and also with the amount of subsidies given to the Rail Compaines we might as well do that, With the Railways we've had to do that time and time again with failing compaines, Get them back into profit then just hand them back to private owners who screw them up and the cycle starts again. 🤷‍♂️

As I've long said....
Nationalise the costs and losses.
Then privatise the profits and give them out as free handouts to your cronies and donors.
Then rinse and repeat.
Always been the Tory way.

So Liz Truss insults British Workers (Nothing unusual for a Tory) in a recording given to The Guardian also in it she says we can't blame Europe or Immigrants for our woes, How's that going to go down with those "Johnny Foreigners hating types" she's trying to woo?

Inflation reaches double digits (10.1%) Some crumb of comfort yesterday, House prices dropped I think by an average of £5k across the country this year.

Meanwhile anti-LGBTQ hate crimes have seen their largest ever year on year increase. In the last 5 years homophobic hate crimes have doubled and transphobic trebled.

Looks like another politically motivated Civil Servant has secretly recorded a Tory Minister and given it to the press. If you’re politically opposed to this government, then it’s all fine and dandy, but Ministers must be able to talk candidly to their CS’s without it being leaked for embarrassment purposes.

Wonderful cry of pain from a Conservative, bemoaning the fact that the party doesn't stand for anything any more and the left's fear that they have a cunning far right agenda is laughable.

The Tory party is not driven by some grand policy agenda, but simply grasping at shiny objects. It passes repetitive, unnecessary and ultimately inoffensive laws that criminalise things that are already illegal – like dog theft or assaults on emergency workers. Or else spends its time complaining that the world, the civil service and the blob is against it. The party once sought to campaign in poetry and govern in prose, now it campaigns and governs in tweets.

Even on its beloved Brexit, the Conservative party tries to stoke an ongoing threat that it might be undone or revoked or strangled at birth rather than engage with the realities of leaving the EU. With the simple in and out completed, there is no clue whether Britain’s future is Singapore on Thames or shoring up the dying embers of Red Wall industries

.....From the housing crisis to the stagnating economy, to law and order, to the health service, there are solutions out there – yet the Conservative party has given up on seeking them, seduced instead by the 24 hour news cycle, the focus group and the Twitter grifters. Neither leadership candidate offers much hope. Sunak looks like he will run the country like a private equity project, cutting any expense he can and damn the consequences, whilst Truss will run it like a village fete, with boundless enthusiasm and harking back to the old hits.

Liz Truss as Linda Snell - this puts things into perspective
