Breaking news on SPN that Hull have released Phil Brown, replacing him with Steve Parkin and Brian Horton.

You would have thought they would have done it on the pitch after the last game.

The team is getting relegated so the price of failure is he loses his job. Why does he deserve another season? Past performance should not be taken as a guide to future returns. He got paid for his successes and is probably being compensated for the term left on his contract.

This happens at all levels, whether you are a failing Premiership manager or the failing manager of a League 1 club

Who would live in a house like this?
Last throw of the dice for Hull. If the new manager can give a bit of impetus, 3 or 4 wins in the remaining matches could give them another season at the top. If it doesn't work out, most people would not have backed Brown to turn things around at this late stage and they start next season with a clean slate and new boss. Only bad news if you are Phil Brown.
