Which was quicker than the cameraman.
There was two lots of footage of said free kick, one from TV ( not sure if it was BBC or TSW) and one from our club video) that you could edit together to get a disjointed version of the whole goal. TV shows the free kick being taken and club video shows it ending up in the back of the net.

I remember that goal : I can see it now. About 30 yards + out, a little bit to the right, and it rocketed in.

Not particularly unique in the football world though is it?
Here we go again!

Brentford aren't particularly unique, they're not doing anything differently to anyone else, generating £40m odd on player sales was pure luck and no-one has the slightest clue exactly how they're competing at the top end of the Championship pushing for promotion when they have the second lowest ground capacity and budget in the league.

It's all luck, they're not doing anything differently to anyone else.

On a brighter and more interesting note, fascinating article on Sky about Ollie Watkins, charting his rise in the football world. None of this will be new to Exeter fans, but fascinating for those of us who don't know much about him.

Well worth a read:

Great stuff. Thanks for the link, wouldn't have picked up on this otherwise.

Maybe we should have pressed for a bigger % of the sell-on...

You could replace Brentford for Tisdale and read another century plus page of denials of success. You do what you do and are making a success of it. It was only ten years ago I went to Griffin Park firmly believing that if we beat you that day we would have gone on to win the League 2 title. There hasn't been a great deal of difference in the size or success of our clubs in general terms but you've left us behind with a bit of help of somebody backing you up and because our lot have a 'Holier than though' attitude towards it because we are Trust run, some will see Brentford as the Devil, something you'll just have to deal with. Me, I just say good luck to you. It's nice to see a team from the bottom half of the pyramid make a good first of pushing through the top half.

Strange that Tisdale made no contribution to the article.

But...but...but "he's a fan! Therefore, we are fan-owned" (facepalm)
