Are the emergency biscuit (or whisky?) supplies on the way?

Tricky task to sort out which of AG and RR most accurately predicted the precise nature of the carnage of five consecutive defeats. Could have been even trickier for the Committee if two more of us had not chickened out and discarded their initial intention also to go for 5 defeats followed by a draw against Lincoln... (post 29 refers!)

OFFICIAL RESULT

The straightforward bit was eliminating grecian-near-hell leaving it between Ashford Grecian and Red red who both got the 1-1 Lincoln result correct.

This left us to consider the losing components of the predictions where we found that Red red predicted the only correct loss score of 2-0 in the Wigan game. That said we also considered whether it were proper to consider the losing components of the competing predictions at all. It seems just wrong to look at losses. Rather like Jethro's train not stopping Camborne on Wednesday it was concluded that The Committee had not taken into account losing components before, weren't likely to in future and probably shouldn't on the day.

After much anxious thought the biscuits ran out and we reached for the Fettercairn only to be reminded this Committee is strictly teetotal ..........at least during deliberations.

We therefore decided, not without some considerable hesitation and with an element of doubt , that we should declare Ashford Grecian and Red red as joint winners.
