John Tate aged 77, Passed away without ever knowing what happened to his daughter Genette aged 13 who disappeared in August 1978. I say RIP and hope he does and is reunited with his daughter.

I remember that so well...There was a huge search at the time & was front page news for days.

It was probably that scumbag Robert Black who was proved to be in the area years later.

Dreadful that she was never found.

Yep mdidle of the summer holidays, The poor girl was only delivering newspapers in an area you'd think is safe as houses, That she probably knew like the back of her hand.

Yes indeed it was splashed everywhere for ages and unless my mind is playing tricks (it often does these days) she disappeared on a Saturday afternoon and I remember thinking at least I will know what I was doing at the time. I was watching City at home!
I expect that you will know the game was against and who scored olds!
