According to the E&E article he used to be a taxi driver is Exeter while he was a 'struggling' actor.

Hey isca! You must be older than you look! I used to love 77 Sunset Strip, with Efrem Zimbalist Jnr, and as you said Ed (Kookie) Byrnes. Remember how he used to refer to Efrem as 'Dad?' We shouldnt forget Efrem's main co star Roger Smith, who has been battling Parkinsons for many years.

I dont buy that my Isca chum. If you were trying to model your hair on Ed (Kookie) Burns, you were looking at a way to entice the chicks! I cant see people who are "barely teenagers" giving that aspect much thought, even if I did!
