British Olympic swimming champion David Wilkie dies at the age of 70.

Sad news that, Do remember him winning the gold in 1976. Didn't realise he chose to retire only a month after that win aged 22. RIP

I remember it very well.

There's been some grubby reporting today loosely inferring that his cancer was related to eating solely McDonalds for a month. Bottom of the barrel stuff. In that film he interviewed some bloke that had eaten McDonalds every day for over 20 years. He seemed fine (despite being a sandwich or two short of a picnic).
